Suggested Supply List for Guided Archery Hunters The following is a list of suggested items prepared especially for our guided archery hunters. If you are hunting with a partner, or a group of people, there is no need to duplicate many of these items. Organize within your party as far as who should bring what. We will have bow scabbards on the side of your horse/mule for carrying your bow. If you will be hunting out of a pack-in camp, we do not pack-in bowcases, as most of them are not sturdy enough to be tied down on our pack mules and your bow will fit safely in a scabbard. So, pack your spare equipment in your duffle bag, not your bowcase. The weather this time of year can be very unpredictable, ranging from warm days in the 70's to freezing nights. Pack accordingly. Feel free to call us if you have any questions.
Pack-in camp hunters: do not over pack. Personal gear should not exceed 70 pounds, packed in a standard size duffle bag. Sleeping bag is included in weight limit but does not need to be in the duffle bag. We do not packk in bow cases. Optional items
Remember: Anyone born after Jan. 1, 1949 MUST have a Hunter's Safety Card to buy a Colorado hunting license. No exceptions. A previous hunting license from Co or any other state will not suffice. Be sure to carefully read the Colorado Big Game Hunting Regulations booklet that is provided to all of our hunters. Get in shape. Legs and lungs especially. If you smoke, now would be an excellent time to quit. Shoot your bow, target practice as much as possible before arriving. We have life size elk and deer targets at base camp for you to shoot at, but no broadheads in those targets please. We look forward to having you in camp. We will hunt hard with you to give you the best possible opportunities at taking home an elk. Come prepared, in the best physical shape possible, and get out and shoot your bow. Please call if you have any questions. |
