Winterhawk offers the finest in Colorado wilderness horseback vacations, including fully guided base camp or high country pack-in camps, and unguided high country drop camps.

We operate on 250 square miles of the eastern Flat Tops Wilderness, accessible by horseback and mule pack string only. It is one of the largest wilderness areas and contains some of the most spectacular scenery in the Rocky Mountains. You’ll see wildlife like elk, mule deer, bighorn sheep and bear, plus meadows of wild alpine flowers as your historical pack string of mules and horses winds its way through the mountain terrain.
