Available Package offered at WinterhawkFull Service Guided Fishing Trips -
Includes all meals, lodging (tent camps), guides, and saddle horses, pack mules, riding instructions ( if needed), to provide you a safe and enjoyable horseback / fishing trip.

Fishing Drop Camps -
These are not guided camps with horses. Camps are described in this brochure. We will pack you and your supplies in at the beginning of your trip and then pack you back to base camp at the end of your stay. You will be furnished with a saddle horse to ride to your drop camp and pack out. Saddle horses will not be left in camp. Price includes packers and all pack mules needed.

Packing Service -
Price includes packers and pack mules to pack your camp, gear, and supplies into a pre-arranged location in the wilderness. You will be furnished with a saddle horse to ride in and out. This service can be for fishing, camping, hiking, etc. We do all the packing. A Motorola radio is provided for your safety.

Price of Trips, Rides, and Packing Service -
Does not include your transportation to and from airport or motel.

Reservations and Bookings -
To confirm a trip or service, a 50% deposit is required to hold the dates you desire. We suggest you make your resrevations early, as many dates are popular and fill up quickly.

Deposit Policy -
Deposits are accepted in personal checks, money orders, company checks, or credit cards. Deposits are totally non-refundable. If some member of your party cancels, their deposit is forfeited and cannot be applied towards the balance of the trip. The price per person may change if a member of your group cancels and you were given a group rate.

TroutFinal Payment -
Final payment is due upon your arrival at base camp. It must be made in the form of cash or traveler's checks only. No checks or credit cards will be accepted under any circumstances. No exceptions will be made.

Fishing License Information -
A Colorado fishing license is required for all persons 16 years of age or older. Fishing licenses can be purchased over the counter at most sporting goods stores in Colorado. Non-resident 5 day fishing licenses are $18.25, and additional days are $5.00 per day. Annual non-resident licenses are $40.25. colorado residents annual licenses are $20.25. You are required to purchase your own license before arriving at base camp.

General Information -
If you arrive before your scheduled trip there will be an additional meal fee. Breakfast $8.00, lunch $6.00, and Dinner $15.00.

WildernessNon-Riding Guests ( Non-Fishing Guests) -
Are always welcome at our Indian Cliff Base Camp for those who enjoy the great outdoors and camp life, but do not wish to ride. There will be a $100 charge per day for this service.

Saddle Horses and Mules -
No matter how much riding experience you've had (if any), we will outfit you with the right horse for your ability. Any guest who is over 240 pounds or very heavy for their height should let us know before making reservations. On all of our guided trips, clients’ riding horses are furnished with Oilskin Rain slickers and saddle bags. Horses and mules are not allowed to be taken from our camps without being accompanied by a guide or packer.

Commercial Flights -
Flights are scheduled daily into the Eagle/Vail airport. We can make arrangements to pick-up and return our guests to the airport if necessary, but let us know your travel plans at least 30 days prior to your arrival. Because of the distance and time involved we must charge a $100.00 fee for each trip to the Eagle/Vail airport or motel. Anyone who is flying make flight plans to arrive the day before they are scheduled to be in our base camp and the day after you are scheduled to depart.

When Booking -
Please let us know of any health needs, physical conditions and dietary needs that we should know of in order to assure you have a safe and enjoyable trip with us.

SolitudeWeather Conditions -
June through September - Expect warm, days (600 to 750) with occasional afternoon rain showers. The possibility of light snow always exists in the Rocky Mountains, even in July and August. Expect cool nights, (300 to 500) so bring a suitable sleeping bag, rated at 100 or 200, and clothing appropriate for cool evenings. After you have booked a trip with us, we will send each member of your party a detailed suggested item list of clothing and gear necessary, and additional information to help you plan your trip with us.

Alcohol -
Absolutely no alcohol will be allowed to be consumed before or during the ride/fishing trip. In the evenings, alcohol is allowed, but in very moderate use only. Excessive alcohol use or any illegal drug use will not be tolerated, and if necessary you will be asked to leave our camp at once and will be escorted out of the wilderness.

Tipping -
Even though tipping is not mandatory, it is certainly customary to tip your guide, packer and cook, if you feel that they did a good job for you. It is greatly appreciated.
